A New Hope Christian Sexual Addiction Treatment is a comprehensive Christian counseling approach in treating men, women, and couples battling sexual addiction and the issues related to this disease. This treatment program is a part of A New Life Christian Counseling, a focused Christian Counseling association operating in the Portland Metropolitan and Southwest Washington areas. The treatment approach of A New Hope has been developed by Jay McCall, M.Div., (the program director) from the following sources.

•The foundational work of Dr. Patrick Carnes, the leading voice, in treating sexual addiction

•The healing work of Jay McCall, M.Div., a former sex addict and a Master’s level counselor

•The stories of recovery and healing from scores of men who found freedom from compulsive sexual sin during the past six years

While combining the best elements of the sources listed above, Jay has created an integrated, Christian, comprehensive treatment model which is a truly unique and unparalleled solution in treating individuals and families battling with sexual addiction. The treatment model utilizes a tested therapeutic model incorporating proficient diagnostic tools, individual counseling, couple’s counseling (when applicable), group counseling, and intensive workshops (as needed).

The recovery and healing process from sexual addiction and compulsive sexual behaviors consists of three distinct stages: 1. Stopping the acting out behaviors while building new cognitive and behavioral coping styles; 2. Healing the wounds that have been driving the obsessions and the compulsive behaviors; and 3.
