KELIE bryson

Kelie graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Minor in Human Development in 2018.  While there she worked in the Healthy Emotional Development Lab studying children’s emotions, stress, and coping in the context of the parent-child relationship. She is currently attending Liberty University to pursue a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

ABOUT KELIE

Experience

Kelie has many years of experience working with children, youth, and adults in a ministry setting. She is passionate about sharing her own life’s journey through speaking engagements for women’s ministries, teens, and spiritual retreats. For the past several years she has served as a teen mentor in youth ministries. She also works with her church’s health ministry team in helping to facilitate anxiety and depression recovery programs and other community outreach programs to improve physical and mental health. She is an adoptive mother of two and understands the journey one must undergo to build the family one dreams of having. She has a passion for working with people who have a CHRONIC ILLNESS, FOOD ADDICTION, EATING DISORDERS, BODY IMAGE, SELF-ESTEEM, ADOPTION, and PARENTING.


Counseling Approach

Kelie believes that life is a journey and we are not meant to do it alone. She has a passion for helping people move toward the best version of themselves. She believes in a collaborative approach in helping clients identify what their strengths are and areas they want to change. Kelie’s theoretical approach to counseling is relational and client-centered, utilizing techniques from cognitive-behavioral, attachment, strength-based, and solution-focused.
